Islamic Alliance receives Minister of Security and Civil Protection in Togo

 


The Islamic Military Alliance against Terrorism received the Minister of Security and Civil Protection of the Republic of Togo, General Damham Yark, and his delegation. They were received by the Secretary-General of the Islamic Alliance in charge of Major General Mohammed al-Maghidi.

The minister heard a detailed explanation of the Islamic Alliance's efforts in the fight against terrorism, its role in fighting extremist ideology and coordinating all efforts to counter terrorist trends through intellectual and media initiatives and the fight against terrorist and military financing, as well as its efforts in coordinating and intensifying the efforts of coalition member states.

The minister and the accompanying delegation toured the sides of the Islamic Alliance headquarters and learned about the most important issues related to the various areas of counter-terrorism. They were also briefed on the latest developments and developments related to terrorist groups and events around the world, and the monitoring and follow-up on which the Coalition is based.

General Damham also praised the Saudi initiative to establish this Islamic alliance, to be with other organizations a bulwark against extremist terrorist groups around the world, especially in many African countries that have suffered and continue to suffer from extremist universities, pointing out the efforts of the Islamic Alliance in this regard in relation to various areas of counter-terrorism.

For his part, General Al-Magaidi stressed that the Republic of Togo was among the countries that joined the alliance at the time of its establishment, looking forward to sending its representatives to share with their colleagues representatives from the Countries of the Muslim world to work together to all that would fight terrorism and combat violent extremism in all its forms and areas.
