U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and his Israeli counterpart Eyal Hulata confirmed at a meeting attended by other officials from both sides the commitment to coordinate efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and deter its "aggressive" regional activities, the White House said in a statement Wednesday.
The U.S.-Israel Strategic Advisory Group meeting held at the White House on Tuesday discussed economic and diplomatic steps to achieve these goals, as well as consideration of cooperation between the U.S. and Israeli armies, the statement said.
U.S. and Israeli officials have also said they will continue to coordinate closely on issues of common concern, while working toward the same goal.
The statement stressed that the parties will remain united in the face of all threats to their national security.
