Authorities in California have arrested Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul Pelosi, after allegations of drink-driving late Saturday night, U.S. News reported.
Paul Pelosi was arrested in Napa County, California, at 11:44 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence.
He was detained in prison at 4:13 a.m. On Sunday and released at 7:26 a.m., according to Napa County records. These records indicate that he was released on bail of $5,000.
Paul Pelosi, 82, married Nancy in 1963.
A spokeswoman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she would not comment on the special matters that occurred while on the East Coast.
