The number of real estate units in Saudi Arabia increased significantly during the first quarter of 2022 by more than 76% compared to the same period in 2021, an increase of more than 9,000 real estate units, and an increase in the number of meters scattered by more than 70%, or nearly 2 million square meters compared to 2021.
The program stated that it is based on sorting (dividing) real estate buildings or complexes into several real estate units to determine all information about the unit and its monuments from the land and from the area of the common areas in the property and employment rights, in order to facilitate and speed up the procedures necessary to issue the property document, and to organize it in a unified electronic platform that preserves the rights of all beneficiaries, within the joint real estate projects, and reduce the time to complete the screening process and increase the efficiency of the procedures.
The program also stressed that the mechanism for submitting applications by applicants must be taken into account, namely, to attach the full requirements, to ensure the percentage of unit area in the property, in addition to attaching a certificate of settlement of a status or scheme approved by the secretariat, to ensure that there is no difference in the building spaces, to modify the notes as soon as possible, and to resend the application and get it on track; this increases the pace of processing of applications and facilitates the procedures, which reflects positively on the program and its beneficiaries, quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The program had earlier launched the "Premium Service", which contributed to reducing the time period of engineering offices in submitting screening applications, and accelerating data entry procedures by them to 70%, through an engine that analyzes the property's layout by mechanically surveyed remains rather than manually entering them.
The screening program for real estate units is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to regulate the real estate sector, ensuring the preservation of rights, good use and facilitating the issuance of property documents, to contribute to raising the ownership rate of Saudi families to 70% by 2030, according to the goals of the Housing Program, one of the programs of Vision Kingdom 2030.
