Between June 6th and July 7th, some areas of the UAE are experiencing a strange astronomical phenomenon, according to the Emirates Astronomy Association.
The Emirates Al-Flk Association said the southern regions of the UAE, including Um al-Zamoul, Liwa, Zayed City and Al-Qawa, will witness the lack of shadow in the afternoon.
The association attributed the astronomical phenomenon to the sun's perpendicular perpendicularity in these areas, where the cancer orbit cuts through the southern parts of the UAE.
The Association also noted that other regions of the UAE will experience the shortest shadow of the year during this period.
"The absence of a shadow will be at noon around 12:25 pm UAE time, so no shadow will be seen for people or buildings during the afternoon," UAE News Agency (WAM) quoted Uae Astronomy Association Chairman Ibrahim Al Jarwan as saying.
Al-Jarwan added: "The first baptism of the sun in the afternoon will be on the far south of the UAE on June 6th near um Al-Zamoul area and then the perpendicular area will march north near Zayed city with the summer solar solstice on June 21st and then return south near Um al-Zamul on July 8th and after July 10th the perpendicular site moves south and the shadow of the demise begins to expand."
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association of Astronomers, "The sun is perpendicular to the course of cancer around June 21, accompanied by the lowest shadow of the demise throughout the northern part of the earth and the shortest night and longest day in the northern part of the earth while perpendicular to the limits of the next December 21, accompanied by the maximum shadow of the demise throughout the northern part of the earth and the shortest day and longest night in the northern part of the earth while perpendicular to the northern part of the earth.On the equator during the spring equinox on March 21 and Autumn on September 23rd, the amount of a mile of shadow disappearing is equivalent to the width of the site in conjunction with the equal night by day."
Areas between the orbit of cancer, part of which is partly within the southern regions of the UAE and the Capricorn orbit in the south, are covered by the sun on two dates during the year.
