The Ministry of Education in Iraq decided to postpone the exams of the third intermediate students until further notice, after the leak of the math exam questions, Thursday.
The students and their families were surprised when they went to the exam committees that the ministry decided to postpone it, after questions about mathematics spread on the websites at dawn on Thursday.
According to sky news Arabia, the leak also went beyond that to the backup questions that were intended to be distributed to students if the original questions leaked.
Following the incident, the Iraqi Parliament's Education Committee announced the formation of an urgent ministerial committee to investigate the matter and hold those who failed to account in accordance with the law.
The incident sparked widespread public outrage, amid demands for the dismissal of Education Minister Ali al-Dulaimi.
The education file is a prominent challenge in Iraq, which has been struggling for years to eradicate terrorism.
